PARKING
HACKS

Our goal is to add vibrancy to the community, not cause disruption or tension with the locals.

If you need to park around the area that may be closer to other local businesses, please support them by purchasing a coffee or inviting one of your fellow HBHers to grab a bite with you in these places.

And when summer comes, we can't wait to see all your bikes out the front with our super cute bike racks.

Thanks!

FAQS

Where should I start if I’m new?

Look for a Reformer 101 class on the schedule which is custom built for people who are fresh to Pilates. If you can’t find a REF101 class that fits with your schedule, we recommend Freeform (our open-level Reformer class) or Mattitude (our mat class). Both are beginner-friendly and built to ease you in.

What if I’m worried I won’t keep up?

Don’t be. Every class has layers. You choose how hard you want to work. Start slow, build up when you’re ready.

Do I need to arrive early?

Yes please! Arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, meet your instructor, and avoid any first-class stress.

What should I wear?

Whatever you can comfortably move in. Your cute new matching activewear set, or, your favourite baggy tee, we’re into both.

The only rule: grip socks are mandatory. No socks, no play. (We sell ours in-studio for $22, and yes, they’re also cute.)

What should I bring?

Just your emotional support water bottle. Your phone stays in a locker and ourclasses are notification-free zones.

What if I have an injury?

Chat to your GP or physio first. If they give you the green light, get in touch with us. We’ll help you figure out the best classes for you, and might suggest a private session to start.

What if I’m not feeling 100% or don’t want to be physically adjusted?

No problem at all. Just let your instructor know before class so we can respect your boundaries.

Can I do classes if I’m pregnant?

- Likely yes, but check with your GP first.
- Always tell your instructor you’re expecting.
- New to HBH and pregnant? Book a 30-minute Prenatal Private (email hello@heartbeathigh.com.au).
- Current clients? Book a Pregnancy Private at the start of your second trimester to keep moving safely.
- Post-natal? Wait for your 6-week clearance before returning.
- Babies in class? As much as we love them, we’re not quite set up for it. Come and enjoy the time to yourself.

Who can come to HBH?

All bodies, all abilities, ages 16+ (15 with a parent or guardian). If your doctor’s recommended Pilates, let’s chat to make sure we’re the right fit.

What’s the Intro Teaser?

$59 for 2 weeks of unlimited classes at any HBH studio. Grab it online or on the HBH App.

What happens if I’m late to my first class?

If you’re late, we can’t let you in. Safety first, disruption last.

How do I check in?

Use the iPads at the front desk to check yourself in and avoid any no-show fees.

Are all classes beginner-friendly?

Yes, except for Cult Classic (that’s advanced). Stick with Freeform if you’re just starting out.

How often should I come?

2-3 times a week is plenty to start noticing your body feeling stronger. Or more, once you’re hooked. Pilates is low impact, high reward.

What if I’m running late?

If you’re more than a couple minutes late, you can’t join. Your spot might go to a walk-in.
